Logan, Angela, and I went to Safeway's National Capital Barbecue Battle. This huge event closes 5 blocks to house tents of free food, free products, and free games. We got there hungry and left full.
Each step we took amounted to more free food. It was great! Sunny D's Smoothies, italian ice, Stubbs Barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, watermelon, Post cereal, Sierra Mist, Fuse, and many other barbecue samples-FREE! Then to top it off, there was a sampling tent that stretched the length of a city block. It took 2 hours to get through the line, but it was well worth it.
Each of us left with two or three bags of free food and products in our hands and a free Washington National's baseball hat on our heads. We left saying that we ate lunch, dinner, and the next day's breakfast.
